A bit of upholstery for my friend Louise Beck

So miss Louise Beck who did BA Textiles at Sir John Cass where I did my MA is amazing. Her fabrics are beautiful, hand silk screened repeats which were selected by Selvedge at New Designers for an award for excellence. She also has been picked up by mix trends magazine as one to watch for 2011.

Selvedge have given over their shop window in Archway to her designs and she asked me whether I could use one of her fabrics to upholster a chair for the window. So here it is.

Islington Art and Design Fair at Candid Arts

Last weekend I ventured into the world of retail by having a stall at the Islington Art and Design Fair at Candid Arts.

I shared the stall with the lovely Katie Reid who I met whilst doing my MA. Below are some images of my stall set up. I put flowers in the bags which I thought looked quite jolly.

So here is a selection of what I was selling... from cushions to tote bags... and then christmas cards, coursages and notebooks. So there was something for everyone.
